Does Your Static Mixer Minimize Hydrogen Sulfide Exposure?
Hydrogen injection projects are gaining traction around the world in an effort to reduce natural gas methane emissions. One of the primary concerns for natural gas distributors is the impact of hydrogen sulfide exposure on pipeline infrastructure.
Through years of CFD research, CPA understands that the fluid behavior of hydrogen can be quite complex. When injected, it will resist mixing and can sit against the pipe wall, increasing risk of pipe damage due to high concentrations. Large scale bulk fluid movements, such as swirl from elbows, do not help with the mixing either. It simply moves this large concentration around the pipe. Smaller scale mixing is required!
CPA offers static mixers specially designed to deal with this problem. CPA’s Flo2Gether mixers are designed to maximize mixing efficiency in liquid and gas applications. CPA’s SSRVM Mixing plate is designed to be a compact, budget option for applications such as hydrogen blending.
Single Stage Gas & Hydrogen Mixing Plate
Canada Pipeline Accessories Flo2Gether SSRVM Single Plate Mixer leverages micro-blending behavior via its complex fluid dynamic optimized geometry. It was designed through extensive CFD testing to ensure that the fluid dynamic mixing performance was the design priority. This results in a device that is capable of achieving 75% of the mixing within 10D downstream of the mixer.
