Canada Pipeline Accessories was founded in 1997 by brothers Blaine and Dale Sawchuk to bring a superior single-plate flow conditioner to market: the CPA 50E (formerly the Nova 50E), designed to improve custody transfer measurement. Blaine’s manufacturing, engineering, and hydrocarbon measurement experience, combined with Dale’s business and sales expertise, made for an exceptional and highly successful team.
From the beginning, they agreed they had no interest in building a large corporation. Instead, they wanted to enjoy running an independent business, support their families, and do it the right way. Blaine and Dale started CPA with a strong commitment to providing the best quality, the best service, and a customer-first approach. This has served them well for nearly 30 years and remains fundamental to their success today. As a result, CPA enjoys very strong customer support and loyalty.
We continue to flourish in the world of hydrocarbon measurement and have steadily grown the company. Over the years, we’ve added many talented team members, as well as a broad range of additional product lines, including static mixers, nozzles, and other flow measurement accessories.
Quality & Precision
At Canada Pipeline Accessories (CPA), we pride ourselves on the quality of every product that leaves our facility. Quality isn’t treated as a final inspection step—it’s built into every stage of our process, from initial design through to final shipment.
We operate under a unique, custom quality management system that is approved by ABSA, reflecting our commitment to safe, compliant, and reliable pressure-containing equipment. This system combines rigorous procedural controls with practical shop-floor experience, ensuring that our quality program supports real-world performance, not just paperwork.
Using advanced technology, we check critical features and dimensions with precision tools such as laser scanners and detailed CAD model verification. These tools allow us to confirm that each component matches the engineered design intent, helping to ensure repeatable performance and tight tolerances on every CPA product.
All raw materials and accompanying Mill Test Reports (MTRs) are carefully reviewed before manufacturing begins to confirm they meet applicable regulatory, customer, and social compliance requirements. We maintain full material traceability and only proceed with production when we are confident that every requirement has been met.
Above all, CPA prides itself on our in-depth engineering and product quality. Our team works closely with manufacturing and quality control to ensure that every flow conditioner, static mixer, nozzle, and accessory we produce not only meets specifications, but also delivers consistent, reliable performance in the field.

Social Compliance and Responsible Sourcing Policy
Canada Pipeline Accessories (CPA) is committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards in all aspects of our business operations. CPA strictly prohibits the use of forced, imprisoned, indentured, or child labor in any part of our supply chain.
CPA ensures that all goods imported into the United States are sourced from suppliers who comply with applicable labor laws and human rights standards. To achieve this, CPA:
Conducts due diligence and supplier reviews to confirm compliance with U.S. and international labor standards.
Requires suppliers and subcontractors to certify that materials and products are not produced using prohibited forms of labor.
Reserves the right to audit, request documentation, or terminate business relationships with any supplier found in violation of these standards.
This policy is reviewed periodically and forms part of CPA’s broader commitment to ethical sourcing, fair labor practices, and compliance with U.S. Customs and international trade laws.
